Al-Shafi fi al-Imamah

Al-Shafi fi al-Imamah

Al-Shafi fi al-Imamah is one of the most important Shia theological books concerning Imamat and it critically deals with the book al-Mughni written by Qadi ‘Abd al-Jabbar Mu’tazili.al-Shafi fi al-Imamah was welcomed by the scholars concurrent with Sayyid, as Shaykh Tusi wrote a book titled Talkhis al-Shafi, Abu al-Hussayn Basri wrote a book in its rejection and titled it Naqz al-Shafi, and Abu Ya’li Sallar, ordered by Sayyid, wrote a book in response to Abu al-Hussayn and in defense of Sayyid. There are other summarized versions of al-Shafi titled as Irtishaf al-Safi min Salaf al-Shafi and Safwat al-Safi min Righwat al-Shafi.[۱][۱]al-Shafi was published in four volumes in Tehran in ۱۴۱۰ AH, (۲nd edition) by Mu’assasah al-Sadiq Publication.

In this book, SayyidMurtada has referred to some of his works including A Treaties in Rejection to the Doubt Posed to the Hadith of Manzalat and Kalamuhu fi al-Wa’id, which includes responses to the questions asked by the people of Mosul.
