The Name of Sayyid Murtada 'Alam al-Huda Entered UNESCO List of the World Famous People

Based on the suggestion made by the congress office of the International Congress of the Commemoration of Sayyid Murtada 'Alam al-Huda, and the follow up steps taken by the UNESCO National Commission in Iran and the representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the name of the outstanding scholar, Sayyid Murtada 'Alam al-Huda (۳۵۵-۴۳۶ After Hijrah), entered the preliminary stage of the list of the “World Famous People” of this organization.

According to this project, the years ۲۰۱۶ and ۲۰۱۷ will be named as “the universal year of Sayyid Murtada 'Alam al-Huda”.

It is well to mention that the project, which follows the Gregorian calendar system, was suggested to this universal organization for the occasion of Sayyid Murtada’s ۱۰۵۰^th birth year by the three countries of Iran, Iraq and Lebanon (as a common suggestion).
